Food Distribution Program
Food Distribution Program
Provides nutritious USDA foods and produce to support families, schools, and local communities while strengthening the food system.

Food Distribution Program (FDP) mission is to strengthen the Nation’s nutrition safety net by providing food and nutrition assistance to school children and families; and support the American agriculture by distributing high quality, 100% American-grown USDA Foods. The Department of Defense (DoD) Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program allows schools to use USDA Foods entitlement dollars to buy fresh produce. The program is operated by the Defense Logistics Agency at the Department of Defense.

This is a listing of National Processing Agreement (NPA) processors that are approved by USDA for SY 2021-2022. A listed processor would also need to be approved by HCNP to do any commodity processing for Hawaii school(s).
If a National School Lunch Program (NSLP) school would like a listed vendor/processor to be approved for commodity processing in Hawaii, please contact HCNP. Contact emails for HCNP FDP Specialists are at the end of the program overview.
