NSLP July Town Hall

The NSLP Team is holding an NSLP Town Hall Meeting in July.  The July NSLP Town Hall Meeting is scheduled for Thursday July 8th from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm. You and your SFA staff who are involved with the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs are invited to participate in the WebEx Town Hall meeting. At least one representative from each SFA must attend the Town Hall meeting.  Attendance at the hour-long Town Hall meeting may be applied towards the Professional Standards requirement.

During the July Town Hall meeting, the NSLP Team will review the SY 21-22 Nationwide Waivers that are available and how they may benefit your SFA.

Most SFAs indicated on their renewal application that they will be participating in NSLP/SBP in SY 21-22 even though USDA is allowing the flexibility for SFAs to serve meals under the Seamless Summer Option (SSO).  SFAs that decide to participate in SSO would serve meals at no charge to children and receive the same reimbursement rates as the Summer Food Service Program (these rates are higher than NSLP/SBP).  Below are the Summer Food Service Program reimbursement rates that SFAs will receive should they decide to participate in SSO:

NOTE:  Reimbursement rates shown above are effective until December 30, 2021.  New reimbursement rates will be released that will be effective starting January 1, 2022.

If your SFA is not able to attend the live Town Hall meeting, the meeting will be recorded and posted at a later time.  The participant must successfully pass a quiz after viewing the recording of the Town Hall meeting to fulfill the mandatory requirement for your SFA.
